JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Sauna-like weather to continue through the weekend with scattered heavy storms.
Showers and storms overnight were round #1 of continued chances of showers and storms all day long. Overnight rain totals ranged from just a 0.4" in Peoria, up to 1.42" in Usery Park as of 6am. We're not done yet though, as a cold front will be passing through the state today.
Scattered showers and storms possible today, along with cooler temperatures. Valley rainfall totals are expected to range from .25"-1", with some folks getting up to 2" or more in eastern Arizona
Slightly cooler temperatures today, as high pressure begins to break down due to an approaching cold front. Moisture is increasing rapidly across the state, and with that approaching storm, we pick up a slight chance of Valley showers and storms this afternoon and evening. Rain chances increase significantly tomorrow and linger through Thursday.
