The yurts are below Tam McArthur Rim, one of central Oregon's lesser known treasures. In winter, backcountry skiers can do 1,000-foot laps up to the rim and down through chutes and glades. In spring conditions, you can range farther afield to Broken Top and the Three Sisters.
